Sony Is Working To Fix The Lag Problems With PlayStation in Online Games

Date:

Sony seems to be researching solutions to address the slowness that PlayStation users encounter when playing online games, particularly those who have erratic internet connections. By using a machine learning-based model to anticipate players’ button presses and carry them out automatically in the event of delays, PlayStation hopes to address latency concerns in a recent patent that the company has released.

How Sony Plans to Fix The PlayStation Game Lag

Sony Plans to Fix The PlayStation Online Game. This particular patent, which is called “Timed Input/Action Release,” was only released this month. The paper released by PatentScope states that Sony’s system will be “set up to release user commands to a computer game at a time when the command correctly aligns with what is happening in the computer game.” To emphasize, there should be no worries about unfair advantage in online games because this approach is based on players’ behavior. Sony only wants to make sure that players who can’t resolve the problem themselves have a good experience by lowering latency.

This patent is intriguing and could be useful for gamers who cannot afford faster internet or who don’t get the ideal online gaming experience because of distant servers.
