Artificial intelligence (AI) has been sweeping the tech sector in recent years, so expect to see a lot of TV technologies powered by AI.

Major firms like LG, Samsung, and Google typically display some of the newest, most inventive, and largest televisions at CES.

Here is a summary of all the new artificial intelligence capabilities that LG TVs will have in 2025 that you should be aware of.

1. AI-powered recommendations with Voice ID integration

Features that allow for AI personalization have become very common in consumer electronics. Users can create customized home screens based on their unique profiles with this functionality. Your TV may create distinct user profiles and identify the voice of the person speaking into the remote control by connecting AI-powered suggestions to Voice ID. This enables users to have a personalized experience based on their own interactions and preferences.

2. AI Search

Keeping track of all the streaming services that are available might be challenging. Faster and more effective navigation is made possible by AI Search, which helps users locate the most pertinent material across several streaming and digital platforms. While YouTube and Prime Video are the main in-house services for Google TV and Fire TV, AI Search offers results from a broader variety of streaming services.

3. LG AI Concierge

In addition to leveraging voice recognition, LG AI Concierge uses search history and preferences to give contextual information depending on what’s playing on your screen, increasing user engagement. Additionally, users can share their own photographs or screensaver art with friends and family using this tool.

4. AI Chatbots

An AI chatbot element seemed inevitable for TV brands given the popularity of ChatGPT and other AI assistants. Strong support services are provided by LG’s Chatbot feature, which includes image and sound setup advice and technical help. For example, users can issue a command by saying “Make the image sharper,” and the chatbot will modify the settings appropriately.

5: Enhanced WebOS with Extended Support

One of the easier-to-use operating systems available is LG WebOS. In order to guarantee that users receive the most long-term benefit from the technology, WebOS now provides software and platform updates for up to five years. Older TVs now have access to some of these new AI technologies, such as Voice ID. At CES 2025 taking place this week, we will learn more about LG’s 2025 TV portfolio. We’ll be keeping tabs on every new advancement in AI in television technologies.
