According to rumors, the iPhone 17 Air is only 6 mm thick, making it far thinner than the iPhone 16 Plus, which it is purportedly replacing. The iPhone 16 Plus is a quite large phone, measuring 7.8 mm from front to back. Additionally, the phone may be too thin to have a usual SIM card slot, therefore eSIM technology will be its only option.
