According to a post on Truth Social, Trump contended that Monaco’s roles give her access to information. It is noteworthy that Monaco served as Deputy Attorney General under Biden and held senior national security roles under Obama. As a step further in her career, she joined Microsoft in May to oversee its cybersecurity policies and government relations.
However, Trump believes her background disqualifies her from the position. He argues she represents what he calls “lawfare and weaponization” within government. Recall that earlier this year before the Trump-Microsoft clash, he rescinded her security clearance alongside those of Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton, and members of the Biden family.
