According to leaks and rumors, Samsung’s S25 series will be unveiled on January 22, just under three weeks from now. Buyers of the Galaxy S25 series may be eligible for a complimentary trial of Gemini Advanced, similar to what we already know about the Pixel 9 series.

With the Galaxy S25 series, it is anticipated that both new and existing Galaxy AI features will return. Similar to the reported Android 16 features, there are rumors of additional AI features for taking and editing photos and videos as well as AI-driven task automation (such as ordering food or booking flights).

The level of promotion is logical given that the next series is anticipated to be a powerhouse in artificial intelligence, and many of these functions will likely be carried out directly on-device due to the Snapdragon 8 Elite’s notable performance and efficiency improvements.

The forthcoming series is anticipated to retain the beloved Galaxy AI characteristics that we have grown to adore. Among these are programs like Note Assist, Live Translate, Interpreter, Magic Compose, photo editing tools, and many more. But with the S25 series, Samsung appears to be taking Galaxy AI a step further with features that its rivals haven’t probably thought of yet, thereby lessening its dependency on Google’s AI.

The S25 series will “tell Apple what leading AI is,” according to credible leaker @UniverseIce on X (Twitter), implying that the South Korean tech behemoth is developing something that would surpass rivals like Apple Intelligence.

“Many new AI functions of S25 have not been leaked so far, which is very surprising to me,” the leaker continued, implying that either we will be unsure of what to expect on the AI side or we will be in line for a trove of AI leaks in the upcoming weeks.

Although this is conjecture, given Samsung’s history, it is quite likely that the company will launch new AI capabilities for taking pictures and videos as well as linked ones for editing them. Similar to what Google appears to be working on for Android 16, the tech giant may also launch a feature that allows AI to take control of your device and do chores for you, like ordering food or booking flights. It is debatable if these new functions will be carried across to older Samsung flagships.
