Oppo is ramping up excitement for its upcoming foldable smartphone, the Find N5. Set to launch in February, the device is positioned as the successor to the acclaimed Find N3. A recent teaser image from Pete Lau, Oppo’s Chief Product Officer, highlighted the phone’s defining characteristic: its exceptional thinness.
Oppo claims the Find N5 will achieve the coveted title of “thinnest flagship foldable” on the market. This ambitious goal necessitates surpassing the current record holder, the Honor Magic V3, which boasts a remarkably slim 4.35mm profile. Rumours suggest the Find N5 will achieve an even slimmer profile, potentially falling within the 3.5-4mm range.
Zhou Yibao, Oppo Find series product manager, further emphasized the device’s premium construction, confirming the integration of a robust titanium alloy hinge.
The Find N5 is expected to arrive in global markets as the OnePlus Open 2. Key specifications rumoured for the device include Qualcomm’s powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, a versatile triple 50MP rear camera system, and a substantial 5,900mAh battery with support for rapid 80W wired and 50W wireless charging.
