Cassava Technologies has formed a strategic partnership with Accenture to enhance sovereign AI throughout Africa, starting in South Africa and extending to Egypt, Kenya, Morocco, and Nigeria.
The collaboration will integrate Accenture’s AI Refinery platform and its knowledge of sovereign cloud with Cassava’s GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS), backed by NVIDIA AI infrastructure and located in Cassava’s secure, energy-efficient data centres. The program aims to assist African nations and corporations in managing AI workloads and data within their countries, adhering to local regulations and policy requirements.
Cassava will use its extensive pan-African, ultra-low-latency fibre broadband infrastructure to link its data centres and provide large-scale high-performance AI computing.

Speaking about his vision for sovereign AI in Africa, Macchi stated, “Leveraging our extensive global expertise in sovereign AI and cloud, Accenture will assist Cassava in providing secure, scalable sovereign AI solutions and transform its operations.” Collectively, we will empower organisations throughout the continent to embrace AI confidently and discover new methods to generate value.
