SunHydrogen has hired The Process Group (TPG) engineers to construct its first hydrogen power generation plant for hydrogen power generation. The plant is expected to extend beyond 25 square meters in size. The facility will demonstrate SunHydrogen’s exclusive photoelectrochemical (PEC) hydrogen panel technology. Furthermore, the plant is expected to have roughly 15 connected PEC reactors with an area of 1.92 m² apiece.

The actual construction of the plant will commence once the engineering design phase is completed. The design phase of the plant is expected to be wrapped up by the end of year 2025. TPG engineers will be in charge of mechanical connections, gas handling safety procedures, fluid systems design, and system integration. The plant will be SunHydrogen’s first large-scale application of its power-generation concept.

The Process Group hopes to construct hundreds of SunHydrogen’s renewable energy plants, opening a new frontier for the hydrogen-power industry. Goldman Sachs has projected that the hydrogen-power industry could reach $1 trillion+ by 2050.

“We at The Process Group are thrilled to collaborate with SunHydrogen on this groundbreaking project,” said John Reardon, CEO of The Process Group, LLC. “Our team is eager to apply our process design and integration expertise to SunHydrogen’s cutting-edge PEC technology. We are excited to help demonstrate a scalable, high-impact solution that paves the way for future large-scale renewable power production.”
