The Silicon Valley Girl (SVG) Foundation, under the leadership of its founder, May Ijisesan, has revealed intentions to organise its inaugural AI, Productivity & Technology Summit (APTS). The event will take place on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the Ilorin Innovation Hub.

The single-day event aims to equip students and young innovators with the necessary skills and mindset to succeed in the fast-evolving landscape of technology and artificial intelligence.

May Ijisesan, a leader in faith, technologist, and Amazon bestselling author of Silicon Valley Girl, established the SVG Foundation to empower young Africans. It plans to empower them through providing practical tech skills. Also, it will provide mentorship opportunities, and give the opportunity to be involved in the global innovation movement. The foundation seeks to convert African youth from being technology users into innovators and solution-finders.

Ahead of the event, Ijisesan stated:

“Living in multiple realities alters your perspective on each.” In the United States, I observe the frameworks, connections, and assets that support the flourishing of innovation. In Africa, I observe the innate talent, ingenuity, and determination that can achieve great things if provided with the appropriate resources. The connection between the two is not based on charity. It’s teamwork. That’s the reason such gatherings are essential. The individuals present in the room today may be the ones to create the solutions that affect lives around the world tomorrow.
