Odyssey Technologies Limited, a firm that deals in information security software packages has released two new software packages, The Xorkeesign Mail and Xorkeesign Spot. These new packages have the potential to be useful to 200 million email users and more than a billion smartphone users. They will help address some important security gaps that currently exist.

Xorkeesign Mail is a browser or mail client extension program that enables senders to digitally sign their emails and verifiers to confirm the signatures. This technique is meant to help email users protect themselves from email-based phishing attacks and other scams. More exciting is the fact that Odyssey is offering this software for free.

Xorkeesign Spot is a software that allows SMS and other messages originating from a particular user to have the same signature.

Cyberattacks Becoming A Global Menace

Cyberattacks have harmed many people, with identity theft, ransomware attacks, digital extortion and blackmail all on the rise. These attacks are not stopping despite security alerts and software providers patching their programs more frequently. Governments just issue warnings and advice to their citizens with little to no impact. It’s a problem on a global scale.

Chairman and Managing Director Mr. B. Robert Raja stated in his remarks, “It simply demonstrates that no matter what the underlying source of these issues is. None of these efforts are addressing it.”

With its rich experience in developing security software for sensitive financial sectors, Odyssey discovered that the majority of these issues may be linked to a single underlying cause—the asymmetry of digital identity.

The victims are unfortunately unaware of the attacker’s true identity. Whereas, cybercriminals are fully aware of who their victims are. The new products Odyssey offers today directly address this issue. It gives users a means of authenticating emails, SMS, and other messages from every sender.

The software ensures that the victims now have the power and the criminals are unable to hide behind their masks. Xorkeesign Mail and Xorkeesign Spot by Odyssey are now accessible for both individuals and companies.
