Meta Launches New Tool for Content Protection
Meta has launched a new Content Protection tool designed to help creators and influencers who encounter overt content theft by fake accounts on the social media platform. The positive update is that Meta is launching this content protection feature for Facebook and Instagram.
“Your unique creations represent your voice, and you ought to possess the means to safeguard it,” stated Facebook.
The feature would require content creators to register in the program to take advantage of its offerings, emphasising protection and preserving authenticity on the platform, especially for Reels.
Facebook stated that this feature would help users protect their Reels and other content from content thieves. It is part of their efforts to support original creators in gaining recognition online.
The benefit is that once creators join the program, the tool will continuously search for potential content matches on Facebook and Instagram. It then alert creators if it finds a complete or partial match of their original content.
