Lenovo introduces the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable, the first laptop with a rollable display, at CES 2025.

The Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable, the first laptop with a rollable display in history, was eventually debuted at CES 2025 after several years of research.

The laptop was previously shown off as a prototype item two years ago, but it has now moved into production for 2025. It can switch from a 14-inch landscape display to a 16.7-inch vertical display with a single button push.

The laptop will include up to 32GB of LPDDR5x memory and up to 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD storage, powered by the Intel Core Ultra 200V series (up to a Core Ultra 7). For graphic designers who frequently work on portrait documents, this lightweight laptop with Lunar Lake power and Intel Xe2 graphics is a solid option.

When you combine Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity, two 2W Harman/Kardon speakers, a dual microphone array, and a 5MP infrared webcam, you have more than just a gadget laptop—you have a potent mobile workstation device for business users.

One major concern about this laptop is that if you have a laptop with a rollable display and the motor that rolls out the display breaks, you won’t be able to roll it up (or down, if you’re really unlucky). However, by the time that happens, it might be time to upgrade the laptop, and you might soon have a lot more options available for rollable display laptops in the market.
