Google is introducing a new “Answer now” button in Gemini that provides faster responses by skipping deeper reasoning.
Gemini’s interface now features an “Answer now” button, enabling users to bypass extended reasoning and receive quicker responses when using Pro or Thinking models. Google is launching the feature for web, Android, and iOS.

Google Goes Personal With “Personal Intelligence”
Last week, Google launched a significant update to Gemini, enabling it to use your personal data for “Personal Intelligence” responses. This allows Gemini to use your data to provide more customised responses. Along with that update, Google appears to be adding another feature to speed up responses when you need a faster reply.
Once you launch the Gemini 3 Pro or Gemini 3 Thinking models you will see an “Answer now” button. It is visible next to the spinning status indicator as Gemini formulates a reply.
Pressing this button bypasses the thorough analysis and provides a quicker response, just like the name implies. The button is not visible on the Gemini 3 Fast model, because the Gemini 3 Fast model already prioritises speed.
A comparable feature was previously available in the Gemini app, but it worked slightly differently. In the past, a “Skip” button would appear and automatically set the model to Gemini Fast, regardless of your choice.
This time, Google has modified the feature so that Gemini maintains the chosen model, whether Pro or Thinking, and provides a quicker response. You can verify this by inspecting the model used through the three-dot overflow menu.
Google appears to be rolling out this update widely across the web, Android, and iOS for both free and paid users. That said, the iOS app continues to display the old “Skip” button instead of “Answer now.” However the “Skip” button works in the same way as the “Answer Now” button.
