Last week, Microsoft declared that it has started rolling out the beta version of its Copilot for Gaming experience. Beta testers can now directly experience the Xbox app on iOS and Android. This is an intriguing gaming tech trend for users in 2025.
Copilot for Gaming: Personalized Game Insights and Global Availability
The early version of the experience gives the assistant an avenue to answer questions about the games you’re interested in. Additionally, it’ll furnish you with links to more information. Beyond that, the assistant will answer questions based on your account, play history, achievements, and others.
A practical example of this experience could be hypothetically explored here for the Copilot for Gaming. In essence, users can ask, “What’s my gamerscore? Can you give me some tips to raise it?” Alternatively, you can ask, “I love horror movies. Do you have any suggestions for what game I should play?”
In addition, Copilot for Gaming could come through for you when you ask questions about your play history or account. For example, “What was the last achievement I got in Starfield?” Moreover, you can also ask, “When will my Game Pass subscription be renewed?”
According to Taylor O’Malley in a blog post, “In this early version of the mobile feature, you can access Copilot for Gaming on a second screen. This is without distracting you from your core gameplay experience.” It is worth noting that Taylor O’Malley is the principal program manager at Xbox.
Furthermore, once you ask Copilot a question, it observes your player activity on Xbox, alongside public information from Bing, to give you answers. Microsoft has declared that it’s working to add more personalization and richer game assistance. The company particularly mentioned proactive coaching to Copilot for Gaming.
Regional Access and Future Expansion
Additionally, the beta version of Copilot for Gaming is not yet available in all the major languages and countries. It is only territorially limited in English for players aged 18 and older in the following countries: Albania, Algeria, Argentina, Australia, Bahrain, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is also available in Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Egypt, El Salvador, Georgia, Guatemala, and Honduras. Similarly, it’s available in Hong Kong (SAR), India, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Kuwait, Libya, Macedonia, Malaysia, Mexico, and Moldova. Countries like Montenegro, Morocco, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Oman, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, and the Philippines are also in the picture. Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Singapore, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand, and Tunisia have experience, too. You can also experience Copilot for Gaming in Turkiye, UAE, Ukraine, Uruguay, USA, and Vietnam.
TechPolyp gathered that Microsoft continues to aspire to release the experience in additional regions at a later date. However, it is unsurprising that, like in every other area, AI is also transforming users’ gaming experiences.
