South Korean technology powerhouse LG has announced the coming of its newest series of gaming display monitors, the UltraGear evo. This latest line of monitors features the world’s first 5K AI Upscaling, an innovative AI solution from LG that enhances its GPUs for improved visual clarity.
Building on its dominance in 5K and 5K2K gaming monitors, the UltraGear evo series integrates ultra-high resolution with speed, immersion, and smart image enhancement across various form factors.
The series launches with three main models:
- the 39-inch GX9 (39GX950B).
- 27-inch GM9 (27GM950B) and
- 52-inch G9 (52G930B).
1. The 39-inch GX9 model (39GX950B): The 39-inch 5K OLED gaming display, featuring 5K AI Upscaling
The 39-inch GX9 OLED version enhances the heritage of LG’s 5K2K screens. Employing Primary RGB Tandem OLED technology, it offers enhanced brightness, increased precision, deeper contrast, and an extended lifespan for the panel.
The monitor also features Dual Mode, enabling users to focus on either resolution or speed by toggling between 165Hz at 5K resolution or 330Hz at WFHD, complemented by an ultra-fast 0.03ms response time.
The curved 21:9 display retains the vertical height of a standard 32-inch monitor while expanding the field of view, making it ideal for gaming and multitasking.
2. 27-inch GM9 (27GM950B)
The 27-inch GM9 MiniLED model introduces AI Upscaling, distinguishing itself as the world’s first 5K New MiniLED gaming monitor. It is created to tackle blooming problems commonly seen in high-resolution screens, it incorporates ultramodern techniques for improved light and contrast management.
Also, the screen can achieve up to 165Hz at 5K resolution and 330Hz at QHD, and can reach a maximum brightness of 1,250 nits, enhancing highlights and intricate lighting in dimly lit scenes.
3. 52-inch G9 (52G930B): The Largest 5K2K Gaming Display
Completing the lineup is the 52-inch G9, the largest 5K2K gaming monitor globally, designed for gamers seeking a cinematic gaming experience.
Also, the gaming monitor features a 240Hz refresh rate, 1000R curvature, and a panoramic 12:9 aspect ratio. It seeks to merge immersion with quick responsiveness, providing considerably more workspace than a typical UHD display.
“The latest UltraGear evo is a significant milestone, eliminating the need for compromises in gaming display performance,” stated Lee Choong-hwoan, leader of the Display Business at LG Media Entertainment Solution Company.
“Featuring groundbreaking 5K AI Upscaling, the collection guarantees that gamers can experience the same exceptional level of performance, clarity, and immersion in high resolution, regardless of whether they favour deep blacks, superior brightness, or vast size,” he mentioned.
“This showcases our proficiency in providing high-resolution technology to the B2C gaming sector as well as through precise B2B solutions such as medical monitors,” Lee Choong-hwoan added.
